We are offering the Companion Rescue Skills Course. It is a one-day review covering all facets of companion rescue, including the use of shovels, transceivers, and probes and rescue strategies. This is a great review if you have previously completed an RAC or AST course. Course dates are on an as-needed basis, and the cost is $95.00/person. (Note: Avalanche Canada course materials are utilized.)
The course consists of a 3-hour virtual classroom session, including a general review of avalanche particulars and companion rescue protocols. You will spend the afternoon practicing companion rescue skills in the field, and students will be brought up to date on the latest companion rescue techniques.
Classroom sessions will be provided in a comfortable and easy-to-access meeting room in Kamloops
